Oh let us count the ways we are annoyed with Facebook...

College Candy does it again with her list of The Top Ten Most Annoying Things About Facebook. From application requests to the oft-called "Stalker Feed" to those people who can't take a breath without updating their status... It's pretty funny, but mostly everything we've already complained about.

Getting Over Him: The Formula

I saw this today on The Lush Life blog... and every person needs to read this. It's funny and pretty reasonable.

So what are you waiting for? Go read it!

78 Piece Summer Makeup Pallet

If you're new to makeup or a total pro looking for some great colors for cheap... check this beauty out:

Coastal Scents 78 Piece Summer Makeup Pallet

Coastal Scents has made a product that is making waves all over the internet, especially on YouTube's top makeup video bloggers. Well, I'm sold... now I just have to wait for my next paycheck to come in.

Gossip Girl lovin'

So I posted these on ThisNext.com a while ago, but feel the need to promote them here as well.

If you haven't already done so (as I have) and you love Gossip Girl (as I do), then you need to pre-order this yesterday.

Gossip Girl Series on DVD
To be released on August 19th, 2008... but it's never too early to ensure that you'll have one of the most fabulous shows on TV for the rest of your life (or at least until DVDs are obsolete).

Aaannnddd... one of my personal favorite Gossip Girl merchandise items:

Team Blair and Team Serena Gossip Girl Tees from fredflare.com

Personally, I think they should probably have a Team Jenny tee by now... because no one else on the show has stolen twice, lied to the police, broken up the same couple three times, and dated a gay guy for social status. And maybe a Team Georgina tee would be in store, because she was a pretty huge trouble maker... but my favorite is still Blair, because she's still the biggest badass on the whole show.

Three-Tier Dessert Stand

Are you throwing a fabulous dessert party like me? If so, you need one of these.

Great White 3-Tier Stand

It's perfect for making your desserts (or the desserts you bought at the grocery store, as the case may be) look as fabulous as they taste. This is definitely going to be making an appearance at my fabulous birthday party next month. Go buy yours today!

For all my fair-skinned ladies...

If you're pale and can't find the color to match your skin, chances are your only hope is to mix and match... as in mix your own color to match your face. I'm here to make your life a little easier, as I have the same problem and have tried a couple of things suggested to me from the girls of beauty 101 over on livejournal that really work! (Check out this entry for the whole story.)

The first thing I tried was mixing Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Fair foundation with one of their Chenille eyeshadows. It worked pretty well... but I had the same problem with it that I had with bM the first time I tried it -- not enough coverage.

PROS:
  • Color actually matched my face
  • Felt good
CONS:
  • Not enough coverage
  • My face looked shiny the whole time (even though loose powders should dry you out...?)
  • Slid off my face after a few hours, even after using my primer
  • Face also had a bit of a chalky/dead appearance
But if you LOVE mineral foundations (especially bareMinerals) but you're super pale, try this combo out:

And now for my favorite combination... that I just had the pleasure to try out today:

So the Revlon Colorstay is the same foundation that I've been using for a few months now. I've been really pleased with it, other than the fact that it was a good 2-3 shades too dark for me (at the very least). And when another lj user gave me quite a few white foundation recommendations, I started looking. I found the Face Atelier one on camerareadycosmetics.com and I was totally impressed with the samples, so I bought on in Zero Minus. I just got it last night and I dumped the whole little container into my Revlon Colorstay in Fair and it is the perfect color.

PROS:
  • Perfect shade
  • Great application
  • Foundations are same consistency/mixed really well
  • Face looks alive and fresh
  • Coverage is amazing (very build-able)
  • Has lasted all day (with a smidge of help from a primer)
  • Completely removed all orange-y look
CONS:
  • Having to pay shipping and handling
  • The wait for the sample
